Aly’s Visit to SSM US: Bridging Campuses, Building Connection

At Shattuck-St. Mary’s, we believe that meaningful connections are the foundation of transformative education — not only between students and teachers, but also across continents and campuses. This belief came to life recently when Aly Weber, who will join SSM Vietnam’s faculty this August, visited our founding campus in Faribault, Minnesota.

During her visit, Aly immersed herself in the spirit and history of SSM — strolling through the iconic grounds, meeting with long-time school leaders Mr. Matt Cavellier and Ms. Steph Vagle, and stopping by the School Store to bring home Sabers apparel, proudly connecting her to generations of students and educators.

Her journey to Faribault was more than just a campus visit. It symbolized a growing bridge between two vibrant communities — SSM U.S. and SSM Vietnam — united by a shared mission: to nurture excellence, character, and opportunity in every student, wherever they may be in the world.

Through educators like Aly, Shattuck-St. Mary’s values continue to cross borders, connect cultures, and inspire futures. Her visit is a meaningful step forward in strengthening the bond between our two campuses — over 13,000 kilometers apart, yet united by one Sabers spirit.
